Welcome to the Robostrike League!

To celebrate the new community page, I decided to create the first edition of the future league of Robostrike: The Robostrike League.

The Robostrike League has 2 phases:
1. The first part is a league: Players play all vs. all and the best players classify to the next phase (the number of players that classify will be chosen before the start of the league).
2. The second phase is a playoff: Players play duels where the winner access to the next round and the loser is eliminated.

There is not a limit of players.

Rules:
1. Games are played 1 vs. 1.
2. Games are played in non-scored games.
3. Time: 45 seconds.
4. Players choose the maps. Maps must be public and death match.
5. League
      i. Each duel go on 4 games
            1. If a player wins 3-0, it is not needed to do the 4th game.
      ii. Each player chooses 2 maps
            1. Players decide who chooses first or second
      iii. Score
            1. Winner: 2 points
            2. Tie: 1 point for each player
            3. Loser: 0 points.
      iv. Duels must be played within the due date. If a duel is not played, each player will lost 1 point (example: 5 duels without playing = 5 points lost).
      v. At the end of the league, players who have not played at least a 50% of the duels will be disqualified. Moreover, the games will not count, so all games that players played vs. them will not count.
      vi. The X best players of the league access to the playoff.
6. Playoff
      i. Each duel go on 5 games
            1. The player who finished the league in a best position chooses 3 maps and the other 2.
            2. Players decide who chooses first or second.
      ii. Final go on 7 games
            1. The player who finished the league in a best position chooses 4 maps and the other 3.
            2. Players decide who chooses first or second.
      iii. Winners of each duel access to the next round.
      iv. Losers of each duel are eliminated.
      v. Duels must be played within the due date. If a duel is not played, both players are eliminated.*
7. Players must write in the forum the result of the duels.

* Many times a player waits to play the duel and his opponent does not appear, so we think that it is not fair. In the league it will be unfair, but in playoff not.
Therefore, in the playoff, we advise players to contact between them to decide when they play. Thus, if a duel is not played, we can know which players deserves to access to the next round. If players do not try to contact between them and they do not play the duel, both players will be eliminated.

8 players in the league, so 4 will play the playoff

The league finishes next 10/08/2010, so you have to play the games before that day.
You can play the duels when you want, so you can play it  today all the duels or the last day...but remember, one of the players have to write the result in this forum.
