Hey guys!
If I'm not wrong, since 2006 players have won less points in races than in death match.
Yesterday, when I was doing "that" 
I thought that it could be done a little change.
Before explaining it... you know that there are 2 ways to win a race, right?
- Getting all the marks
- Being the last player alive (as a death match)
And the little change would be this: change the points that players win according how they win
- Players who win getting all the marks or if the opponents leave would win the same points than in a death match
- Player who wins being the last player alive would win less points, but losers would lose the same than in a death match (to avoid their suicide to lose less points)
What do you think?

If a player is obviously loosing the race because ob being behind, he could simply commit suisice to lower the winners award. Any idea how to solve that?
I wrote how to solve it!

And now? Thus, they would do the same points that if the races!

Sure, but they could still lower the points, that the winner would gain (by suiciding).

Then.... if a player wins being the last player alive, the loser would lose more points than in a death match, but players could kill them for the losers lose more points...
Pfff.... All roads lead to the death match...

I think the points won in a race must be same than in a death match, or maybe more, cause you have to think more to stop players if they are winning.
About suicide, what to say?. I really hate it, but a lot of people do it in death match too, ex: "rapidos"

That is different: In death match players suicide to win and in races players suicide to do that the other win less points.
And about thinking, I don't agree with your. In death match maps you have to think how to do a good defense and how to kill the opponent...I think there you think more.

First I thought, the only solution would be to change the basic rules and give players unlimited lives there.
But that would create another problem with races that are not solvable.
So if we want to rise the motivation to finish races, there has to be a completely different solution, imho.

In death match maps you have to think how to do a good defense and how to kill the opponent...I think there you think more.
I don´'t agree, you can play a race like a death match, but is not enough a good defense and try to kill the opponent, you have to think more things, how to finish the race and how don't let the other finish.

Well, here we are in the eternal discussion about who is right
We could continue thus a lot of time and both would be right.
So, better we finish it and doing the same score for races and death match.
And Dharokan, I think that there is a possible solution, but it would be hardest than what I propose and Chris should spend a lot of time for that...

i agree score should be worth more.
Hmmm...
The idea is nice, because people would be motivated to finish the race.
Im just wondering if this could be used to cheat. I don't yet see any way to raise your score by tricking this.
But there's still one problem:
