Hi,

as you can see, a new score system is now working (beta test release) on Robostrike multiplayer games. It needs probably some tuning and here is the place to post you comments and feedback.

The new system is based on a new formula mixing :
1) Game fees (from 0 to -6 points) depending on your score.
        = 1% x yourscore / nbplayers with a max of 2+nbplayers/2
NB: losing a game is more costy for high scores players and quite free for low scores
2) Activity points depending on the number of kills in death match games and number of validated marks for race games
        = +1 point for 1 kill in death match games
        = 3 x validated marks / total marks in race games
NB: a player can win points even if he's not the final winner
3) Winner bonus wich is given to the winner only
        = sum of all player's game fees (see above) with a min of 1+nbplayers
NB: there is more points to win when playing against high score players and more points in multiplayer games with many players

All those details of calculation can be seen on the score board when hovering the down right corner :ninja:

There will be a partial or full reset of points when the final tuning will be over.

A simple workaround to solve this problem:

yourSWF.swf?timestamp=DateAndTimeAndARandomNumber

With the param at the end you always send a load command with a new page to the server ... i hope this help.

Normally nobody should win. We started a game and make both 3 rounds harakiri.

There is a problem for the count of kills. Kills in the lasers board don't count like a kill but like a self-destruction.

There is a problem with the last kill too
The last kill of the game is not counted, such as duel 3 times I kill player X on the final table there will be counted as 2 kill

I seems depending on how the bot was moved here, because it works well with a bombed pushed bot ... Could you tell me more ?

According to my tests, the last kill is counted if direct shot (for example). But what was the kind of last kill you're talking about ? pushed bot to a hole or board lasers ?

Thank you Realtime, I fixed the caching issue, it was due to a Drupal cache setting.

Je me permet de te repondre en francais car c'est un peu technique , et j'ai des lacunes avec la langue de sheakspeare
I can answer you in french because it is a bit technical and I have some shortcomings with the language of sheakspeare

Par exemple lors d'un duel :

Joueur X tue le joueur Y 2 fois (Hormis le non-comptage de certaines morts tel que les lasers etc...)
Joueur Y tue le joueur X 2 fois aussi(Hormis le non-comptage de certaines morts tel que les lasers etc...)
Donc pour l'instant , +2 points bonus pour chaque joueur (Le nombre de kill du joueur Y importe peu dans cet exemple)

Ensuite , joueur X tue le joueur Y --> Fin de la partie

Et dans le detail du score , les deux joueurs ont 2 "Kill" de comptabilisés (Alors que normalement 3 pour le joueur X)

Voila , j'espère avoir eté clair =)

Edit : Après plusieurs essais , il semblerais que ce soit tout les "Kill" du dernier tour
Je pense que c'est a cause de l'affichage sur le chat , apparament les kill sont compté a chaque "Message vert" qui s'affiche , et lors du dernier tour aucun ne s'affiche (Normal , c'est le dernier tour , et vue que ca s'affiche a la fin du tour) et ne compte donc pas les "kill"

Edit2 : Lorsque qu'on met en favoris une map alors qu'on en a deja 30 le jeu bug et on est obligé de quitter la partie

EDIT 3 : We can't add more than 30 favorites when we play. But we can add more than 30 favorites if we took the map in visitor way.

I made a lot of tests about the last kill count watching an logging real online games. Most of the time the last kill IS CORRECTLY COUNTED => 100 % of the time imho when it's a direct shot (bot's laser or blast or bomb).
But sometimes it's not 100 % when the last kill is a bot is pushed out of the map.
I would be interessed in knowing from your test when this situation happens because I didn't find any clue in the code yet....

In french (more easy to explain and chris is french) :

On a effectué plusieurs tests avec elec_boyz. Voici nos tests et résultats en détail.

Test 1 :

Partie 2 joueurs avec 3 kills sur l'un des deux, uniquement kill par tir.
Résultats : seulement +2 décomptés.

Test 2 :

Partie 2 joueurs avec 3 kills sur l'un des deux, uniquement kill par poussage hors-map (différent de trou).
Résultats : seulement +2 décomptés.

Avec ces deux premiers tests, on en conclue que c'est bien le dernier kill n'est pas compté à chaque fois. L'idée serait que la partie se termine sans avoir le temps d'afficher le dernier kill et donc de le comptabiliser. (Je ne vois pas d'autre explication).

Vérification en image du bug "kill last action" avec cette capture d'écran.

Other bug detected in the count of kill too.

There is sometimes an other kill which is not count... We have seen that with a long game on flower, 4 players. At the end of the game, elec_boyz win and add 7 kills, but the game count only 5. We can explain one of us with the "bug last kill", but the other is strange.

Details (french) :

Partie 4 joueurs sur flower.
Il manque deux kills pour boyz : boyz gagne la partie.

Les 7 kills de boyz :
1. poussage hors-map sur Amloo
2. poussage hors-map sur ???
3. poussage hors-map sur ???
4. blast sur amloo
5. tir sur voyz
6. xcross sur funkazoid
7. bombe sur funkazoid

In an other game too, on rapidos 2. There was not this problem.

Maybe, the problem come to the fact that sometimes, the player kill more than one robot in one turn... But i am not sure at all...
